Professionalism is an absolute requirement of all people involved within the Teen Court community. It's important to understand that the things being done are very serious and you must act appropriately. An example of being professional would be listening and replying in a respectful and non-biased way. Sitting up straight and avoiding fidgeting is also very important. You want to be sure to also not interrupt and wait until the person speaking is finished and then proceed to reply.
I like that you said something about both listening and replying. Participating in a conversation is more than just waiting for your turn to talk, and that can be a very challenging thing to do.
I'm curious about what you all think this idea of professionalism actually looks like- from a physical sense. I'm thinking about body language, facial expressions, how questions are asked... things like that.
